I enclose copies of a Savingram from Hong Kong about the Spanish Dominican Convent there. This seems to dispose of the representations by the Spanish Embassy and by the Vatican against its supposed requisitioning; but, if you agree, that the Governor's paragraph 3 is reasonable, we should be grateful if the sense of it could be transmitted to the Vatican authorities.
I am sending a copy of this
letter and the enclosure to Tomlinson with reference to his letter of the 19th July to Wallace.
